Founded by Sherree Dawn Halliwell and Simon Van Der Spoel, WellSpoeled Productions unites quirky imagination with professional filmmaking craft. Our mission is to tell compelling stories that resonate across cultures while fostering creative excellence and collaboration within our team and clients. Our husband-and-wife founders lead a dedicated crew of creative professionals who bring diverse skills and perspectives to every stage of production. Together, we push boundaries to deliver films and animations that inspire and engage audiences worldwide.
Dr Sherree Halliwell (CEO)
Sherree is driven by one core belief: powerful storytelling creates emotional connection. Over the past 25 years, she has built a career spanning advertising, marketing strategy, creative, film and TV production, digital communications, and general management. Her experience stretches across every side of the industry — Agency (WPP Y&R), Client-side, and as the founder of her own SME. She is a multi-award winning creative and has screened TVCs and films at the world's most prestigious festivals. She’s also worked with some of the world’s most recognised brands, including Virgin, Diageo, Mars, Lloyds TSB, Mastercard, KFC, Gillette, and Adidas, experience that has shaped her into a storyteller who truly knows her craft. As a Doctor of Sociology (PhD), Sherree also has a deep understanding of people from all walks of life and knows how to craft stories that resonate and build lasting connections.
Simon Van Der Spoel
Simon has been lecturing film and screen at the University of Southern Queensland since 2020. Before that, he was a director, producer, and cameraman with Channels 7 and 9 in Australia, and a celebrated documentarian whose work Spitfire Guardians aired on the History Channel. He has hundreds of lifestyle, TVC and creative films under his belt, and is a member of the Australian Cinematographers Society (ACS).

Stewart Limpus
Stewart is an award-winning screen, theatre and voiceover actor, with expertise across broadcast media. Stewart has served the Toowoomba community as a radio announcer for the past 8 years, hosting 102.7FM's evening programming (talk shows and easy listening). Stewart's corporate screen work includes educational films for the University of Southern Queensland, award-winning dramatic shorts, comedy, factual/documentary, and voiceover animation.
